01 The idea

A window into the future

ACE, the Arctic Center of Energy, is a seven-storey timber building for research and education in energy. It’s where future skills get built.

We built it again as an architect’s model, big enough to walk around. In its side is a screen. It isn’t a video. It’s a window: move, and the inside of the house moves with you, as if you were looking through glass.

02 How it works

A window that follows you

  1. A camera finds where your head is.
  2. The inside of the building is drawn live, from exactly that point of view.
  3. So the picture has real depth, and changes as you walk, lean or crouch.
  4. Every look inside sends a purple pulse along the threads to the skills cube.

Got something big to say? Let’s make it a place.
